On Cloud 9

So I had my interview this morning at Porstmouth Regional Hospital, which is where I have been doing my internship this semester. I met with a woman in Human Resources and she told me that over 150 new graduates had applied to the New Graduate Program at the hospital and there are only 15 openings. This made me really nervouse, even though I was lucky enough to be one of the few that got an interview. Then I met with the Unit Nursing Supervisor of the floor that I did my internship on. We asked me some questions, and we talked back and forth. Then at the end as I was leaving he told me that he would love to have me work on that floor, especially since I have been there for 3 months and are familiar with everything. That made me feel so much better and now I feel as though I have an unbelievable shot in getting one of the two positions open on that floor for the evening shift. I am totally on cloud 9 and I can't wait to find out if I got the job. I should know by graduation. I will keep everyone posted! YAY!

Having just spent the last two weeks running all the interviews for new teachers at Sanborn...here's a piece of advice.
The people making the decisions have a lot of people to keep in mind. Send them some sort of a thank you...either an email or a card, right to the person you met with. Thank them for the opportunity to intern at the hospital and to meet with you. Trust me, you don't realize how much that could do for you.
Great suggestions by your Bro -
Every little bit helps and makes you stand out among the other candidates.
You'd be surprised on how many people don't send thank you letters or emails after an interview (I've been on a lot of interview committess for teachers)
Keep us posted! I'm crossing my fingers for ya!!!
Hugs! :-)
